Grauniad Makes Error
I'm rather glad to see that i wasn't the only person who spent a goodly time on monday vainly searching the new format Guardian for my daily dose of Doonesbury. Indeed the decision to axe the cartoon has provoked such a deluge of complaints on the guardian blog that it has now been reinstated.
The author of Doonesburys shortlived assassination, Ian "Clark County" Katz, has been wheeled out to provide a grovelling mea culpa.
I find it strange that he felt they could drop the strip without any warning but am gratified that this mistake has been swiftly resolved. In the words of the man himself:
"Happily this particular error of judgement (unlike many of the countless others I have made) is easily put right: Doonesbury will be back in G2 from Monday"
